Kristie has worked in community mental health serving a wide range of ages, identities, and experiences. Her background includes supporting clients with anxiety, depression, relational conflict, trauma, ADHD, and caregiver stress, as well as those who are navigating when life takes an unexpected turn.

Kristie takes a client-centered and relational approach that is calm, curious, and non-judgmental. She takes time to fully learn about her clients and what matters to them, while infusing humor, levity, and shared humanity into her sessions. She has a trauma-informed lens and utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative and humanistic therapies.

I believe that people are doing the best they can with the skills, resources, and challenges present in their world.

Life has a way of throwing unexpected curveballs our way, and it can be difficult to adjust when our hopes and goals are deferred or unrealized. I help my clients grieve the loss of unmet expectations but also see the possibilities that build a bridge between unrealized dreams and current circumstances.

Together we’ll explore things from all angles and consider what is contributing to challenges and stress, including the impact of the unique intersection of your identities and roles. We’ll collaborate in identifying steps toward your goals – building upon your strengths and supports while integrating your interests and personality.

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the freedom and adventure of biking.

As a kid, I spent hours riding anywhere I was allowed to go, and not much has changed in adulthood—except my handlebars are no longer adorned with colorful streamers. I also enjoy being outdoors, swimming, and traveling to both new and familiar places. When I can’t be outside, you’ll likely find me cheering on my favorite sports teams, enjoying comedy, tackling a new organization project, or spending time with my energetic family.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, relational conflicts, peer and social dynamics, ADHD and neurodivergence. I also support parents to develop strategies for day-to-day parenting challenges as well as unique circumstances including how to best support a neurodivergent child or navigate adoption and foster care. My passion is in supporting people when life takes an unexpected turn or who are seeking to understand how past traumatic experiences impact their present.
